Really nice accommodations. The staff were fantastic. Lots to do, good food. The beach was very rocky and uncomfortable. Also wished it was closer to town, but we learned how to navigate the buses.

Regarding the Mayan Palace pool: Lizbeth ( pool concierge) and the joy squad (Jocelyn Samuel and Jovana) were the absolute greatest people to interact with. We were on vacation for my Dad’s birthday and they went above and beyond to make our visit delightful! Even sang him happy birthday with a slice of cake! Anyone going to this Vidanta needs to visit the Mayan palace pool ! Thanks for everything Lizbeth !!!!!

We love playing all the games with the Joy Squad and they grew to be familiar faces we looked forward to seeing at the pool. Nestor and Karolyn and Eduardo were the MVPs of Lotería, Texas Hold em and Blackjack. We won soooo many prizes and even when we didn’t win we still had so much fun playing!


Cant forget Juanito being the MVP of helping us find a spot to lounge by the pool. They say you can’t reserve spots but people lay out towels and Juan did an amazing job of managing the available space and placing guests. You could even see him dancing to the music while it’s not busy. He was even so kind to chat with my grandma while she was sitting alone at one point.

Nestor, Jhovana, Samuel, and Karoline from the joy squad are the best. Joy squad is the reason I keep coming back to these hotels. They keep the entertainment coming all day.
